This collaboration mead is with Beer Cafe Mi-casa, located a 5-minute walk from Ishiyama Station in Shiga Prefecture. The mangoes used for this batch hold special memories: we all went to Costco together to buy them. Yes, that Costco. We even worked together to let them ripen at the brewery before processing them. It features the tartness derived from lactic acid bacteria alongside the intense, classic sweetness of mango. Wanting to add a complex, sweet aroma, we aged it for about half a year in bourbon barrels along with the fruit pulp to finish it off.

The name of this product is "MI CASA, SU CASA." Literally translated, it means "My house is your house." It's a common phrase in Spanish-speaking countries used when you want to tell a guest, "Make yourself at home."

While it has the distinct sweetness characteristic of mead, the strong acidity provides a nice balance. It’s perfect for sipping slowly at night, or pairing with Spanish cuisine starting in the afternoon. But, of course, the best way to enjoy it is at Mi-casa, chatting and having a great time. ¡Salud!
