Citrus fruit
This year, we were able to use another fruit from Miyamoto Farm in Uwajima.
Large, truly large Kawachi Bankan citrus. The brilliantly vibrant yellow fruit is characterized by a fresh aroma reminiscent of yuzu and sansho pepper, with an acidity similar to grapefruit. We carefully peeled the fruit and used it in two ways: dried and fresh.
Ice-cold "Bankan" pairs perfectly with piping hot fried chicken or mapo tofu. It even has a slight sansho-like scent, so it might even go well with unagi. We have bottled the very same aromas we experienced in the fields of Uwajima. Please enjoy it well-chilled!
