Natsumelo 2 / Watermelon, Celery, and Hassaku Mead
＜Product Description＞
The second mead made using watermelons from Yusuke’s hometown in Kumamoto.
For this release, I struggled with how to best express the nuances of watermelon, and eventually relied on a strange intuition that it would be delicious to add watermelon to a Salty Dog cocktail.
I combined the aroma of watermelon with that of celery to capture the cool scent of summer. The acidity and bitterness of hassaku orange, paired with the verdant notes of celery and watermelon, create a sophisticated profile. The label features a design that evokes the feeling of late summer.
We recommend serving it chilled over ice.
