A ten-minute drive from the ANTELOPE brewery brings you to Lakes Farm, a pesticide-free farm.

This mead is made with an abundance of blueberries from Lakes Farm, where they grow rice, vegetables, and fruit organically. Wanting to highlight the quality of the blueberries so carefully nurtured by Kumiko Tsuji, we let nature take its course with spontaneous fermentation. Complex elements intertwined and slowly harmonized while aging in red wine barrels. We’ve condensed into this bottle the lively spirit of the blueberries, which seems to reflect the bright and energetic personality of Ms. Tsuji herself.

While there is a fair amount of residual sugar, the strength of the tannins from the fruit and the barrels means it may not taste overtly sweet. If you didn't know, you might mistake it for a slightly sweet red wine.
